Earlier, I had already purchased LEGO Dacta (LEGO Educational Division) Control products. Can any of this be used with the RCX unit and the ROBOLAB Software?

Yes, the hardware portion of LEGO Mindstorms and the LEGO Mindstorms for Schools system are identical. The components can be used with either of the software packages. The LEGO Educational Division RCX also has the additional connection for an AC adapter, so that batteries do not have to be used.
