Piercing guns can’t be sterilized properly, causing you to be more prone to infection. The hollow needle used in a tattoo/piercing parlour is sterilized using an autoclave. An autoclave will sterilize it COMPLETELY. Look online for piercing/tattoo shops around your area, and a phone number should be included. Call the shop, and make an appointment. If the shop you call doesn’t do piercings, call another. As for getting pierced properly, they will sit you down in a dentist’s chair thing. They will show you the sterile needle and the jewelry. You will probably be pierced with a 16g.They will then mark the spot on your ear. The needle goes through very quickly. You either won’t feel a thing, or it will be a tiny pinch. They will thread the jewelry through and it will be done! Make sure to clean your piercings as they tell you to, and avoid touching them as much as possible. Only touch them to clean them.
