The F-22’s stealth system would allow it to get in range of the F/A-18 Before it was visable on radar and would be able to fire on it with either (correct me if I’m wrong) Aim 8’s 9 and X’s In conclusion the F/A-18 is a 4th Generation Multirole Fighter, The F22-Raptor is the one of the pinacle 5th generation Stealth/Air superiority at the moment.
