Dynamat Extreme has a foil face barrier. Isn it better than Dynamat Original?
A. With our AcoustiSHIELD process, we have found, that Dynamat Original is every bit as effective as its expensive cousin, Dynamat Extreme. The same issues apply to Dynamat Extreme that apply to Dynamat Original. These materials are designed as vibration reduction dampeners and have minimal insulation value. Unless you feel better about spending more money, we would suggest sticking with the Dynamat Original and using it efficiently and effectively with an insulation barrier material.
