During the long rainy seasons with heavy overcast conditions, will the Luna Road Lights continue to operate with limited availability of direct sunlight?
Luna Road Lights are equipped with super-highly efficient solar panels. Since the required power consumption is relatively small, direct sunlight is not needed in order for the Luna Road Lights to receive the necessary charge to illuminate during the night time. The solar panels will absorb the ambient “photonic” light in the atmosphere, which means that during days that are overcast with heavy clouds, the Luna Road Lights will continue to work normally. One major problem however that can cause a reduction in the efficient operation of the lights would be flooding due to constant heavy rainfall periods and poor road design and drainage systems. Constant flooding on roads that are poorly designed with inadequate drainage systems, may continually cover and block the Luna Road Lights, and prevent the efficient and effective charging duration of the unit, which may therefore reduce its overall nighttime performance.
