1) FCP Viewer/Canvas is not set “fit to window.” 2) Corrupted FCP preferences: delete FCP 4 preferences from: /users/username/library/preferences/FCP user data. 3) Disconnect all FireWire devices from the computer other than the Io. 4) Remove drivers and codecs from other vendors. 5) Very poor RAID performance, as a test, try using a compressed codec.
