In some rare system configurations, restarting spooler takes a long time to wait. In such case, installer with restart spooler may wait for a long time. Since Ver 5.55 build 1918, we set the timeout for restarting spooler to 3000ms. And users can disable restarting the spooler by setting proper argument in command line. For example, under command prompt run with C:\>edocpdfv5full -var:RestartSpooler=0 By this way, the restarting spooler will be disabled. The default installer behaviour will require restarting spooler to avoid unnecessary reboot during installation. Users can verify this issue by running: C:\>net stop spooler C:\>net start spooler Users can also input the command line in the Run… of Windows Start Menu.
