DTA 1.0 – Does DT Analyst calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)?
The most important information generated by DT Analyst is the detailed downtime data, as this is the information that allows manufacturers to understand WHY output is at existing levels, and WHAT to do to improve it. OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is a single measure that is defined as the product of availability, performance, and quality. The difficulty in calculating OEE in most cases is gaining real-time access to quality data. Parsec Automation offers an Efficiency Monitor Add-on component for DT Analyst. The standard component provides real-time and historical Performance Efficiency (= Availability * Performance). In cases where Quality can also be measured in real-time, Parsec can add this to the Performance Efficiency equation to produce OEE.
