I started taking a drug called guanfacine last Monday 2/2, for a sinus problem and have been experiencing a tightness in the chest. Is this a possible side effect? I stopped the guanfacine 600 mg two weeks ago and the tightness is subsiding. It only happens when I walk briskly. I am also taking sinequan 25 mg twice a day far a panic disorder. I would like to know if this is a possible drug adverse reaction. Answer: I’m not aware of any interaction, but the drug clearly produced the problem.
