Don some rural properties already have a rural road number or RAPID Number?
Descriptors of land such as lot numbers, section numbers, roadside delivery numbers and other forms of identifiers are being used as road numbers. These are not unique and are not able to be located with certainty and are not an officially recognised address number. Some properties have a number associated with the Rapid System. This number is a shortened grid coordinate number and, as such, is not a unique address. It also has little benefit for users who do not have ready access to topographical maps of South Australia.
