Dogs that are fed high protein diets can become aggressive. Why is that?
I too have read that. I see your point. Usually manufactures try to hide the negative, so kudos to “Taste of the Wild” for being open and honest. I think that high protein can make some dogs MORE aggressive, as in a dog that is already aggressive can become more that way if he eats a high protein diet because too much protein can provide too much energy for dogs to handle effectively, if they don’t have a venue to experse that energy. This is scientific fact, if an animal that is aggressive has too much pent up energy that is never released, he will be more aggressive. Think of a time when you may have been in a bad mood. You are irritable. But think if you felt that way but also had a lot of energy and nowhere to release it. You would become more aggressive towards people, not that you would bite them…lol… but you will have anger pluse energy. Not a good combination. So think of a dog with no morals.
