Doesn time spent on nutritional content take away from instructional time on physical activity?

0

Nutritional content is integrated with the reinforcing activities to provide maximum ‘bang for the buck.’ The focus of each activity remains on the physical skill, but students receive a nutritional message and the activity reinforces that message. For example, when students practice the overhand throw, for one activity they throw fruit and veggie toys at cardboard box ‘blenders’ and hear the message that smoothies are a healthy snack.
