Doesn’t the proposed amendment too strictly restrain government?
Not at all. The proposed amendment does not restrict the proper powers and authorities of government when operating within its proper capacity and limits. It only limits government abuse and holds public servants accountable when they violate the intent of the Constitution or their duties of office. By properly restraining government, the people preserve their rights and liberties.
