Doesn the government have the right to regulate the economy for he social good?

The term ‘Social good’ is ridiculously vague. Unscrupulous people can misuse this term to win power and justify human rights violations. Almost any bad law could be passed in the name of the ‘social good’. The historical evidence suggests that appeals to this term are not acceptable because people can be totally mistaken as to what is in the ‘social good’. More often than not what is claimed to be the ‘social good’ doesn’t help society at all, but it just a cover for the agenda of some special interest group or individual.
