Doesn’t a timber frame rot?
There has been a traditional tendency for some timber framed caravans to occasionally suffer from some wood rot problems. This has usually been caused either by the use of poor quality sealants, the choice of an inferior timber species or poor maintenance on behalf of the owner. Phoenix exclusively uses a long grained flexible, plantation grown, timber which is fully protected to A.S. H3 Standard, [full penetration], using a pressure injection system similar to the Kopper Log process. This product is non-toxic and non-corrosive and is stabilised in the production process. The use of this product is advantageous in other ways. As a natural result of its use we make a point of using special sealants and adhesives and all frame fixings are either hot dip galvanised or stainless steel.
