Doesellura™ acidify urine?
No.Historically, studies on “UTI effect of cranberries” were conducted in the belief that the juice acidifies urine because of the high concentration of organic acids. Today, it has been demonstrated that a bacteriostatic acidity (pH) is rarely achieved following normal serving sizes of cranberry. Recent research has shown that the mechanism of action of cranberries involves proanthocyanidins (condensed tannins). These molecules prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall (A. Howell, Y Foo, 1998).
