Does ZIRC offer training in zebrafish health and pathology?
Yes, we offer a one day tutorial that covers designing a health monitoring system for a zebrafish facility, biosecurity, disease identification, facility SOP’s and documentation, bacteriology, fin clips, skin scrapes, gill clips, necropsy, and PCR for Pseudoloma neurophilia. An additional half day of histopathology is available for veterinarians and people with experience viewing histological sections. The cost for this course can be found on our Fees page. Contact Dr. Katy Murray for scheduling. The pathology training can also be offered as part of a general ZIRC training week.
