Does XM have an ambient/trance channel?
XM 80 (The Move), XM 81 (BPM), and XM 82 (The System) all have Trance shows/mixes/tracks, although XM 82 is heavily geared toward the Trance aficionado. And yes for all you XM Dance listeners, I have caught XM 81 playing trance, albeit rarely. The best trance shows on XM are on The System (XM 82) – The Future Progression series by Victor Dinaire and Subterranean by Zoltar. XM 82 has a diverse breath of Trance tracks that it uses in its daily playlist. XM 82 even has its Ambient moments depending on the DJ. XM 80 (The Move) has a nice and refreshing 9-hour Ambient set on Sundays (7am-4pm EST). I believe XM’s dance stations’ best feature are their diverse, eclectic, uninhibited, and continuously spontaneous playlist of tracks and DJ sets that are scheduled 24/7. XM plays dance club hits as well as underground tracks that don’t get much play on venues such as Sirius’ dance streams.
