Does Wyoming require that a physicians written instructions be on file at the child care facility for every prescription?

It is not a state requirement in Wyoming to have written instructions from physicians for prescriptions as long as the medication is administered as indicated on the label and only to the child for which it was prescribed. The only time a physicians written instructions are needed is when a parent wants an over the counter product administered to their child in a dosage, which is not recommended on the bottle, or a prescribed medication to a child other than the child prescribed for on the label. In those circumstances, the parent must obtain written instructions from their physician for the provider to keep on file.
