Does Wireless Internet require special equipment?
Yes. Wireless Internet requires that the customer use a special Wireless Internet Antenna from Motorola. Sopris Surfers has selected Motorola Wireless equipment to broadcast the digital signal. The same brand and model equipment must be used at each end user location. For technical specifications please see Motorola’s website at www.motorola.com/canopy Who installs this equipment? A Sopris Surfers authorized installer will install the inside wiring and equipment for end-users who purchase authorized antennas. The installer will mount and fasten the receiving antenna to your roofline or on the side of your residence. From this antenna Cat5 wire will be run down the outside of your house to a location where we can drill a hole in you wall to push the Cat5 wire through to your computer. Once the wire is in your house we’ll need an outlet to plug in the antenna to electricity. This must be plugged in 24 hours a day for connectivity.
