Does WiMax have some advantages?
Of course. WiMax was designed for an urban environment where the signal can bounce off buildings and still maintain a connection. It was also designed for a mobile use where connections can be maintained in moving vehicles. WiMax is also a standards based format; any vendors equipment should work in any other network. There are still some issues with interoperability.
