Does Willis Dady serve homeless single men only?
• Single mothers with children (must have at least 1 boy child age 11 or older) • Single fathers with children • Couples with children (must be able to verify that they are married or have children together) back to top Why are clients required to leave the shelter during weekday business hours? We operate with a small staff and small budget, therefore we do not have enough direct service staff to cover the weekday business hours. Also, clients are expected to look for work, housing, and additional support services during the day. We encourage them to be proactive about their situation and part of that is requiring that they leave during the day to do that. back to top Where do clients go during the day? Mother’s with young children can use the Madge Phillips Day Center in close proximity to the shelter. We also encourage them to contact HACAP’s Childcare Resource & Referral line to get children into daycare, so parents can look for work and services. School-aged children attend school
