WFP has a long history of working in close coordination with the Bolivian government regarding the provision of food assistance. During both regular WFP activities and emergency operations, WFP relies on Bolivian government entities to implement its programs in the field and manage food assistance at the local level. The 52 most food-insecure municipalities in which WFP implements its country program are areas identified and targeted by the Zero Malnutrition Program of the Bolivian government. In addition, WFP is working to strengthen the capacity of the Bolivian government to eventually support a gradual handover of WFP assistance operations to the government. 3.
