Does Web HSP limit the resource usage with Shared Web Hosting accounts?
Yes. In order to maintain the stability and performance for all customers sharing the same server, we do have policies in place to limit resource abuse on our servers. System resource abuse is defined as any site whose traffic, programs and/or processes are using excessive amounts of system resources, such as cpu usage and memory, for example. Excessive amounts is defined as any amount that results in substantial degradation of server performance. As a pro-active measure, Web HSP tracks site hits on a monthly basis. If we see that your site appears to be outgrowing a Shared Server, we will notify you in advance. Sometimes, however, resource usage is exceeded due to other circumstances. This would include things such as a large peak in traffic, a poorly configured script, mail bombing and other activities that cause the server performance to degrade. Refer to our Terms and Conditions for Full Details.
