Does We the people stir-up American patriotism?
Not for me, it doesn’t (but then again nothing stirs up patriotism for me because I don’t have any). In American context “We the people” is a lie. We are not a ‘people’, the authors of that document saw to that, and it is shocking to me that eight drunk guys that resented society and wrote a document they intended to prevent the formation of a society and preserve forever the abosulte indulgence of selfish antisocial individualism would ever even think of using a phrase such as, “We the people”. There is no ‘group’ identity to any American ‘people’. We are a random loose assortment of unrelated individuals each with no loyalty to, or regard for, anything but ourselves. The opening line should have been, “We the Random Assortment of Unrelated Selfish Individuals that Incidentally Occupy this Common Geography, in order to…
