Does We the people stir-up American patriotism?
Not for me, it doesn’t (but then again nothing stirs up patriotism for me because I don’t have any). In American context “We the people” is a lie. We are not a ‘people’, the authors of that document saw to that, and it is shocking to me that eight drunk guys that resented society and wrote a document they intended to prevent the formation of a society and preserve forever the abosulte indulgence of selfish antisocial individualism would ever even think of using a phrase such as, “We the people”. There is no ‘group’ identity to any American ‘people’. We are a random loose assortment of unrelated individuals each with no loyalty to, or regard for, anything but ourselves.
