Does WCS provide before-school and after-school childcare options?
Before-school childcare is not available. School doors open 15 minutes before the start of school each day, and parents are asked to plan their child(ren)s arrival for that time. Parents are also asked to have their children picked up within 10 minutes of the scheduled end of the school day. For those unable to do so, supervised after-school activities are available for students enrolled in All-Day K5 through Grade 12, beginning with the conclusion of the regular school day and ending at 6:00 p.m. An additional hourly charge is involved. After-school care is not available for K4 or Half-Day K5 students. Parents are encouraged to utilize ride-sharing where convenient, but the school does not make such arrangements. A Knowledge Beginnings childcare center (not affiliated with WBC/WCS) is located just across the street.
