One answer suggests that “The Bible does NOT say that all of the dead will be resurrected.” What about Acts 24:15- “…and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” That doesn’t seem to omit anyone, does it? Maybe there is a third classification, the “semi- righteous”, who do not get a resurrection? Of course not! Speaking of metaphorical death, check out this verse; 2 Corinthians 5:17- “Consequently if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away, look! new things have come into existence.” How about this one; 1 Peter 4:5-6- “But these people will render an account to the one ready to judge those living and those dead.” If the dead are acquitted from sin, then why are they yet to be judged?
