VPNease does not automatically close idle client connections, because such a mechanism is difficult to implement reliably. Modern operating systems send and receive traffic through the VPN connection even when the user is idle. For instance, Windows and Mac OS X computers synchronize their system time with network servers, update RSS feeds, and poll for e-mail periodically. This makes detection of an idle connection difficult and unreliable.
