Does voice recording software distort my voice or do i not hear myself properly?
You really sound like or something close to it. Your voice sounds different to you because you hear your voice as the sound reverberates inside your skull. In other words, your voice, because it originates with your vocal cards and hits your cranial cavities, sounds different than the rest of us (and your tape recorder) hear your voice coming straight from your mouth.
