Does Violent video games cause violence?
Video games, in my humble opinion, do not cause violence. Violence is caused by fear. I think yoda said it best: “Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.” The fear that I’m talking about is a fear of now knowing what could happen to them next. When this fear errupts, the person can often attempt to exact some form of control over there own piece of the world. (for example, the soldier that has been in combat for too long a time, feeling that he/she could die at any moment: can be capable of extreme acts of cruelty to an enemy. This is partly because of the fear and trying to take control of some portion of their world. If a person feels that violence is a valid method of self fulfillment, then they will act on that. There are many healthy non-violent options (such as playing video games, violent or not, exercise, hobbies) that could be an outlet for stress and anxiety.
