Does VI offer opportunities to study abroad?
A. Virginia Intermont College is dedicated to providing students with the most opportunities possible. The Worrell Honors Program for Studies Abroad offers students the chance to study abroad in Germany. A maximum of 10 class hours are available for summer overseas trips. Admission into the Worrell Honors Program is competitive and limited to students with a 3.0 or better GPA. Substantial financial aid, based both on academic performance and need, is also available. An offshoot of that program also sponsors an annual trip for students to study and work to preserve the rainforest in Panama. VI also partners with other area colleges to offer international travel annually to China. In addition, individual departments sometimes sponsor study abroad opportunities during May term.
