Does VelocityHD Support Panasonic VariCam Variable Frame Rate Processing?
VelocityHD supports the processing of Panasonic’s VariCam variable frame rate recording modes, enabling the removal of VariCam’s redundant frames while recording the HD-SDI stream. When capturing VariCam material, VelocityHD gives the user the choice of capturing all frames (thus creating a 720p/60 file on disk, including all of the redundant frames as well as the active ones), or capturing only the Active frames. When capturing only the Active frames, VelocityHD records the VariCam stream into the user’s desired playback rate (e.g. 720p/24), while discarding the redundant frames.
