Does vast population growth cause poverty or does poverty cause vast population growth?
I know that the Chinese and Indian peoples have the idea that : if they have lots of children then they will be looking after their old age. This only works for a short time, as the boys grow and marry and have children, the sons have to put their children first, and the grand parents are less and less regarded; but always, the new generations forget where the poverty began in the first place, and so it goes on and on.
