Does Valley Videography offer High Definition Video (HDV)?
Begining in 2009, all weddings will be filmed with High Definition Cameras. However, while TV Broadcasters have been able to deliver HDTV signals over cable and satellite for a few years now, the disc-based Blu-Ray format is still in its early stages. The equipment is expensive and hasn’t hit the mainstream marketplace yet. Even though many households now have at least 1 HDTV, very few currently own a Blu-Ray Disc player. And consider this: if you were to receive your wedding videos on Blu-Ray Disc, would your parents and friends be able to playback and watch your video on the TV’s at their homes? It is for these reasons that the package prices do not include delivery on Blu-Ray Discs. But trust me, even though the HD footage is down-converted to 480p, it will look great on HDTV’s (especially if you have an up-converting DVD player), and it will be playable on the equipment you, your family, and friends have now.
