Does V 2.0 support a “mirror-mode” where files are copied from the internal hard drive to the external drive automatically?
No. The architecture of the 7-Series allows for realtime recording to any available drive. This is distinctly different than implementations from other company’s products. There are two options that V 2.0 will offer: either record files in real time, or copy the files after they are recorded. The post-record copy process is especially handy when a customer breaks away from the cart for portable work and comes back and attaches to an external drive to burn a DVD-RAM. Additionally, post-record copying is useful when recording high track count, high sampling rate audio to DVD-RAM, which may not support the data rate.
