Does UVic have a health clinic?
The Jack Petersen Health Centre is located off of Sinclair Road, at the end of parking lot 5 in front of the Cluster Housing. All part-time and full-time students at UVic are welcome to use the services. The clinic accepts all provincial plans in Canada. It is a drop-in clinic so no appointment is necessary. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The clinic offers a full range of health services including physicians’ and nurses’ care, orthopedics (referral required), sports medicine, psychiatry, and health education. They are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30-4:30pm; Tuesday 9:30-4:30pm; and closed on weekends and holidays. Counselling Services offers free, confidential counselling to students who have personal, career, learning or educational concerns.
