Does UTMB still offer the Work School Program?
The Work School Program is currently suspended for all except CMC staff and is being re-evaluated in light of post-Ike changes in the clinical enterprise. Pending information on available funding in FY10 and approval of a budget, we hope to continue the program—albeit smaller than before—when the new fiscal year begins on Sept. 1. The program is still active for Correctional Managed Care, which has an externally funded budget and can therefore provide the necessary financial support and work release time.
