I’m just totally guessing, but I think it would run you from $50-$75. Of course, that wouldn’t include if any tests had to be run and then medicine, but urgent care is designed to save people the high costs of the emergency room. ER’s have become so overcrowded and most of the time it is due to non-emergent reasons. People who have a cold or whatever don’t want to go sit in a dr’s office all day and be a “work-in” without an appt, so they just go to the ER instead, costing taxpayers millions of dollars. That’s why urgent care was designed. Emergency rooms should only be used for people who have just been in accidents, having a heart attack, stroke, ruptured appendix, etc. Not for the flu or the sniffles! I would even call your local urgent care and just ask them. Many clinics will give you a discount if you don’t have any insurance and you will pay the fee upfront.
