Does United Way fund the Boys Scouts?
United Way exists for one reason – to help us come together as one community to identify and work on the issues we agree are most important. The volunteers who lead United Way of Williamson County are continuing support for Boy Scout programs this year, placing the needs of local youth in our community above any other considerations. These volunteers, from all walks of life, grapple with extremely difficult decisions about where best to invest your contributions each year. Thousands of local boys – including hard-to-reach, low-income, at-risk youth – greatly benefit from Scouting’s proven record of safe, structured after-school programs that foster self-esteem, build discipline and teach personal responsibility.
