Does UNISON have any campaign materials on risk assessment?
Yes, UNISON is supporting and promoting European Health and Safety Week and the campaign theme. Issue 62 of Health & Safety Organiser (mentioned above) gives detailed information on the campaign, plus covers body mapping, risk mapping, and workplace safety inspections. It also lists many useful links and resources from UNISON and elsewhere. UNISON has various sources of information that will be of use, including: • guide on risk assessments (stock no 1351) so that activists can check that their employers are properly risk assessing; • safety rep guide on how to conduct workplace safety inspections (stock no 1939); • awareness-raising risk assessment campaign poster (stock no 2447) aimed at current and potential members; • pamphlet which explains risk assessments to those members and potential members who are not familiar with the concept (stock no 2720).
