7:12 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008 One of Georgia’s top remaining targets appears to be Orson Charles of Tampa, an AJC Super Southern 100 selection who is ranked as the nation’s No. 2 tight end by Rivals. Tight end Arthur Fontaine of Dartmouth, Mass., rated No. 4 by Rivals, recently committed to Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 227-pound Charles said he hasn’t had contact with the Bulldogs since Fontaine’s decision, only discussing the situation with his teammate, quarterback Aaron Murray, who has committed to Georgia. Charles said he had no reason to believe the Bulldogs have withdrawn the offer. “Aaron said they still want me, and he wants to play with me in college,” Charles said. “And [Georgia assistant John Lilly] had told me to take my time to make a good decision, and that a scholarship would always be waiting for me at Georgia.
