TVGuardian works with most DVD movies. However, Universal studios does not put closed captioning on their DVDs. There are a few other rare exceptions. However, TVG will filter these same movies when shown on VHS, or on cable or broadcast TV. Please look for one of these Closed Captioned symbols on the back of the DVD case: This is a generic symbol and can be used by any company. This is a registered trademark of the National Captioning Institute (NCI) and is only used for productions that are captioned by NCI.
