Tsunami Multipoint offers bandwidth on demand. A Subscriber Unit that requests bandwidth will receive it, while Subscriber Units that are idle will not utilize any bandwidth. When bandwidth is requested, Tsunami Multipoint provides a “clear pipe” to all requesting Subscriber Units. Note that any manipulation of bandwidth beyond the above-mentioned functionality would require a layered bandwidth management solution. Tsunami Multipoint has been tested for interoperability with Packeteer’s PacketShaper and Allot Communications’ bandwidth management solutions.
