Tegretol/Carbatrol (carbamazepine), Dilantin (phenytoin), phenobarbital and Depakote/Depakene (valproic acid) can affect levels of oxcarbazepine in the bloodstream. Trileptal can decrease the effectiveness of oral hormonal contraceptives (birth control pills). This list is not meant to be complete.
