Does “Tried & Failed” have a lyrical concept?
The concept is within the title. The lyrics are about all aspects of life and especially the contrast between the positive and negative aspects. Our singer Michael is a psychologist, so psychology is a big inspiration for the lyrics he writes. We also like to provoke a bit to see what reaction will come. We are not in a basement doing our own thing, we bring our records and play live shows, so the interaction with people is important to us. It’s great to see how people respond at our live shows, that’s what we do it for. Not that we only make music to satisfy our fans or our label (we have absolute freedom in everything we do), we have to be satisfied ourselves too of course. Will there be a tour or any festival gigs to promote “Tried & Failed”? There are some plans, but unfortunately there was a minor in sending out promotional stuff, so things are going slower than we hoped for.
