Does Toy Story 3s Box Office Mean There Will Be a Toy Story 4?
The sequel question also haunts Toy Story. Given that Pixar appears to be relaxing its draconian “No unnecessary sequels” policy – Monsters Inc. 2 and Cars 2 are in production and Pixar is making an animated short based around Buzz and Woody in its Vancouver studio. That short will play in front of Cars 2 when it hits theatres on June 24, 2011. Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear) is obligated to return for a Toy Story 4 should the Emeryville studio give the green light, and it’s fair to assume co-star Tom Hanks has a similar clause in his contract.
