Does TOPSpro allow duplicate student identification numbers at the same site? If so, will the Duplicate Student report list these duplicate students?
TOPSpro programming does not allow duplicate student identification numbers within a single site. If the TOPSpro user tries to enter a new student with an ID already in use, the user will see an error message that the student already exists and it won’t allow the new student to be saved. Since the program does not ever permit duplicate students to be entered within one site, the Duplicate Student report is not needed to warn of duplicates within that one site. I am having difficulty in understanding the Duplicate Student report. I assumed the Duplicate Student report would print out students that are duplicated at the same site with the same ID, especially if they have the same class number. My report actually prints students with the same ID, but are listed at different sites. Also, I found that the student may be listed three times for the same class in the Student Lister.
