Does tomato juice affect INR results ?

I take a blood thinner and I’ve been cautioned against eating items which contain vitamin K. VK counteracts the effects of the blood thinner so, for example, I limit my salad intake. Normal INR (for me) is between 2 and 3 and at 4MG per day I’m very consistent. If you have been taking a blood thinner and your INR has been consistent but suddenly your at 7 (and that’s a big number to me) something dramatic has happened and you need to see a doctor immediately. I suggest you call for an appointment early this AM and if your doc can’t see you, or advise you then go to the ER. In my non-medical opinion, your blood is dangerously thin and you’re taking to large a dose. Seek medical attention ASAP.
