Does this sound like lactose intolerance mild or does it sound like specific allergies?
It definately sounds like an intolerance rather than an allergy, as like you said, it’s very dependant on the volume you consumed. It could be lactose (the sugar in milk, but this is reasonably rare depending on your ethnicity as you mentioned) or it could be a cows milk protein intolerance. Perhaps you could try soy, or even goats milk/cheese can be appropriate for those with cows milk protein issues (depending on whether it’s the whey or casein you are reacting to). You might like to consider a specific prenatal multivitamin for the increased calcium requirements, rather than increasing your dairy intake if it causes that much discomfort.
