Does this program offer certification in the form of course content or thesis requirement?
The MA degree would be conferred through completion of one of the following: MA Pattern I students will write a thesis proposal and will research, write and defend that thesis. MA Pattern II students will take additional coursework and will research and write a major essay or they will write a project proposal, conduct the project (eg. make a film or collaborate on an initiative with a community organization), write an analysis of the project, and defend that analysis.
